Unemployment Rate
UER represents the overall Unemployment Rate across each market. The 25th and 75th percentiles give insight into the overall range of variation for the UER across the Census Tracts of each market. Another good way to quantify variation can be with a Gini Coefficient, often from the view point of inequality. The values of Gini Coefficients could be classified as follows: Low (0 to .3), Moderate (.3 to .4), High (.4 to .6), Extreme (.6 to 1).
